Manager, ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC), ASEAN Centre for Energy
Mr. Christopher G. Zamora is currently working at the Jakarta-based ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) as Manager of the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC) Programme. His role is to coordinate and facilitate the implementation of the APAEC 2016-2025 in cooperation with the ASEAN Member States, ASEAN energy bodies, Dialogue Partners and International Organizations. The APAEC consists of seven (7) programme areas, namely: ASEAN Power Grid, Trans-ASEAN Gas Pipeline, Coal and Clean Coal Technology, Energy Efficiency and Conservation, Renewable Energy, Regional Energy Policy and Planning and Civilian Nuclear energy. Also at ACE, Mr. Zamora previously held the position of Manager for Administration and Finance from 2006 to 2014 and Manager for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency and Conservation from 1999 to 2014. Before joining ACE in 1999, Mr. Zamora also worked as Coordinator for Information and Training Division from 1996-1998 at the ASEAN-EC Energy Management Training and Research Center (AEEMTRC), the predecessor of the ACE. He also worked for 13 years at the Philippines Department of Energy in the area of renewable energy. He graduated with a Degree on Science Education in 1985 and Master in Economics from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Manila in 1996.
